• Sensors in Robots

.Touch Sensor: Simple touch is used for sensing an object's presence or absence and complex touch is used for sensing an object's size, shape and hardness.

.Force Sensor: Used for measuring force along multiple axes.

.Vision Sensor: Vision sensor is used for detecting edges, holes, corners and for recognizing objects.

.Proximity Sensor: Non-contact detection of an object.

.Light Sensor: It is used for detecting presence, color and intensity of light.

.Sound Sensor: It is used for detecting presence, frequency and intensity of sound.

.Physical Orientation: It is used for the co-ordinates of the object in space.

.Heat Sensor: It is used for the detection of the wavelength of infrared or ultraviolet rays and also temperature, it's magnitude and direction.

.Velocity Sensor: A velocity or speed sensor measures consecutive position measurements at known intervals and computes the time rate of change in the position values.

.Object Proximity Sensor: It is used for the presence or absence of an object. Also it can calculate the distance between objects.

.Sonar Sensor: It is used for detecting obstacles and the distance of objects from the robot.

.Chemical Sensor: It is used for the presence, identity and concentration of chemicals.

.IR sensor: It is used for detecting objects emitting IR rays such as humans. So it can be used for detecting human presence.
