Need for Speed is a worldwide popular car racing game. It is also known as NFS. NFS is an action racing video game franchise created by Electronic Arts. Need for Speed franchise has released 22 main installments. The game is a street racing game offering a player to play street races or to evade from law enforcing vehicles. The franchise released its first game in 1994 and it's one of the most successful video game franchises of all time.

Gameplay
Need for Speed games employ the same fundamental rules and similar mechanics. The player controls a car and the main goal is to win races. There is career mode for singleplayer game and lan play or internet play in multiplayer mode.In the career mode there are different types of races like sprint race, circuit race, police pursuit, drag racing, drift racing, speed camera races etc.
Like other racing games, the Need for Speed series features a list of cars, modeled and named after actual cars.There are opportunities for a player to progress through the game and buy new cars and also a player can do performance tuning in cars and change the view of the car.
Need for Speed Film
Need for Speed Film was created in 2014. EA worked with Dreamworks Studios to create the film version of this game series.The movie released on March 14, 2014.
